Meet Dr. Cathy Cook
DNP, APRN-FPA, CNM, FACNM
Dr. Cathy Cook has spent her entire career doing one thing: showing up for women.
I was raised in Oquawka, and my husband is from Monmouth. We have spent our entire married life (47 years!) in Monmouth and the surrounding countryside. As I discovered my passion for helping people, I went back to school, became a nurse, and ultimately a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Advanced Practice Nurse. Spending most of my career here at “home” has enabled me to care for many patients who have become more like friends.
It has been my honor to care for these families as they planned and welcomed their children, catching nearly 3,000 babies over the past 29 years.
As I have grown older, so have many of my patients, making it a natural transition for me to begin providing hormone care to women navigating the changes that come with aging. My study and use of bioidentical hormones have led to a deeper understanding of how safe and effective these hormones can be for almost all people. Honing my craft through continued education has enabled me to expand my practice in providing hormone care for people here at home.
I believe in individualized care, taking time to listen to each person’s concerns and developing treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. I believe hometown care is personal care. Taking time to listen, understand my patients' concerns, and truly know them has always been the foundation of my practice. I believe in individualized care and developing treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals, so they can feel healthy, supported, and cared for close to home.
Helping people feel good about themselves and become the “best you” they can be is what inspired me to start my own business and continue caring for this community in a more personal and meaningful way. In addition to hormone care, I also provide neurotoxin injections to help smooth lines and wrinkles, giving patients another way to look refreshed, feel confident, and be the very best version of themselves.
I believe that living in a rural area shouldn’t prevent women from having access to support and care at every stage of life. If you are looking for someone you can trust to navigate life, perimenopause, menopause, and aesthetics for prevention or again, I am here to support you along every step of the journey.
